Very loud warnings all weekend about severe weather and damaging winds in the DC region today. The House and Senate canceled votes. The feds sent workers home early. Schools let out early. But the weather has been much better than what was forecast.

I do like how they desperately tried to make Capitol Riverfront happen.
I believe even @JDLand herself was not a fan of expanding Navy Yard (historically just the area east of where Harris Teeter is, south end of Barracks Row) to whole neighborhood but ship sailed 20 yrs ago

This is funny. When we opened Osteria in 2013, we used Navy Yard in our marketing; the bid and our LL reached out, asking us not to use that term, as they wanted the neighborhood to be called Capitol Riverfront. I remember thinking, but everyone calls it Navy Yard why fight it?
