Beef production in the EU (Jan-Aug), was down 4% (169,000t) to 4.1mt. EU beef imports (Jan – Sept) up 15% (28,500t) to 223,900. The UK is the top supplier, shipping 69,500t. EU beef exports down 12% yr-on-yr (43,400t) to 319,100t.
