@RabbiYonah Slavery in Jewish law may be "better" than Egypt or the antebellum South, but failing with a grade of 60 instead of 20 is still failing (at least by the standards of post-enlightenment morality)

@JYuter Actually we once had the “Zelots” but no longer. Religious views / sects evolve over time Islam being the youngest is still maturing into the true original Islam IMHO.

Being an open Messianic Jew has gained me a couple friends but a lot of hostility, anger, rejection, accusation, and being unfollowed/ blocked by people who I thought were on my side. Hardcore Orthodox religious Jews are determined to give Messianic Jews the rejection experience similar to Jesus, which only makes the lived experience for us more realistic, meaningful, and essentially deepens our connection to Christ Yeshua is Messiah

Yeshua took the punishments of the Laws away. He didn't take the Laws away. This is basic New Testament.

The New Testament answers what the Old Testament is silent on: What can we do to merit the Messianic Age? The answer is: Nothing. No amount of mitzvot (good deeds), tzedakah (charity) or t'filah (prayer) will get you through those doors. Only the atonement provided by the Messiah Himself will allow you entry. For Jew and Gentile alike.

@FarmingWithYHWH @rabbriansamuel Can you please explain where you see a contradiction? Deut. Seems to speak of marriage law and Matthew is about celibacy. Sounds more like Mattew advocating Brahamacharya of India’s Vedanta tradition than contradicting The Torah ( at least here)

@rabbriansamuel The NT inverts the Tanak to support things the Tanak calls sin. It's wild that you read Torah portions every week and still believe the NT. Did you read DT 23:1 and Matt 19:12 the same week? What did you think about Jesus telling you to break Torah?

@israelhorowitz1 Please explain how you think we are supposed to understand a 3700 year old text in todays language? Etymology phraseology and idiomatic usages get very obscure over time.
