Hello @Gatwick_Airport Please fix the two (of three) lifts at South Terminal car park 2 (red) that were not working yesterday. Or, at least stop people from using the one that appears to be working but actually isn’t. It’s embarrassing to come back to the chaos it’s causing.

Earlswood sections of the A23 south of Redhill closed overnight for resurfacing for the next two weeks. Church Road, St John’s and Woodlands Road, Earlswood junctions closed plus others I expect.

Chain Pond, Somerset Road, Meadvale - the annual reed clearing session is planned for Sunday, 17th August, 10am to 3pm. Please come along and help if you can. More details to follow.

@stopthemove_rp I would have liked to hear a proper answer to Cllr Lewanski’s question about why the SCC funds for maintenance of the school haven’t been drawn on since 2017.

The five planning committee members that voted for this should hang their heads in shame… Hopefully when SCC goes we can get some actual sensible people in charge to reverse this ridiculous nonsense

1/ We are really disappointed to see graffiti at the newly refurbished Merstham REC as this spoils it for everyone. Please be reminded that under the Criminal Damage Act 1971, graffiti is considered a form of vandalism.

@reigatebanstead Graffiti is a big problem in the area at the moment. @reigatebanstead do an excellent and speedy job of removing it when notified via their website. More support is probably needed from @reigatebeat to secure prosecutions.

Usual pavement-parking story in Redhill this afternoon. As well as being dangerous, damaging the pavement, and detracting from the amenity of an area that’s cost millions, I suspect that allowing free all-day parking is becoming a significant revenue-loss issue for the council.

@stuart_holmes1 @JayBradley1 I just don’t understand why the bollards seem to always be broken - I know @HighwaysSurrey have been told numerous times. @ReigateBeat won’t get involved unless there’s “obstruction” and the council enforcement people say there’s no signs so they can’t ticket.

@JayBradley1 @JFWhiteMSJ Alas the bollards are almost never working. There are plans later this year for a Restricted Parking Zone which would allow for ticketing even if the bollards aren’t working Though why vehicles don’t get ticketed now is unclear to me as it’s meant to be pedestrianised! #Redhill
