Our first Shelton's Electric Gold Glove of the year goes to Logan Perry Boyle County Baseball. Gold Gloves are kids that make exceptional defensive plays and are consistently great at their position defensively. (27’) Logan Perry fires a rocket from CF on a single from (27’) Dekker Thomas in the 3rd to hold the score at 0-0 in the Boyle Co. vs Larue Co. in the first round of the 2A state tournament. We’re locked in a pitchers duel with Patterson on the mound for Boyle and Price on the mound for Larue. Score is 0-0 in the bottom of the 5th.

I’ve watched Mitch Barnhart in action on and off for the past 20+ years. Lately, I’ve been privileged to see him lead up close in my role as a Champions Blue, LLC governor.
He made a tremendous impact on our athletic programs. The man bleeds blue and fostered a culture of competitiveness across the entire department. He also made a tremendous impact in the lives of the athletes, staff, & administrators that he led. I have no doubt he will continue making a lasting impact on students in his new role.
Mitch is one of the best to ever do it, and he leaves the athletic department well-positioned for what promises to be an exciting next chapter. 🔵⚪️
