Been accepted for oral presentation at an international conference. I’ve never done a poster. Which is more beneficial for a future research career; three oral presentations, or two presentations and one poster? Am advised to consider asking for a poster instead of presenting…

Since Easter Friday is a day of suffering, I’ve been cycling ‘til I threw up, work ‘til I couldn’t think any more, and been lifting weights ‘til I couldn’t get ‘em up. But tbh: it has been a very nice day. The suffering was voluntary. And I liked it!

Älskar du dig själv? Jag älskar att vara jag, och försöker alltid välja att behandla mig själv kärleksfullt, men just frasen ”älska sig själv” hakar jag upp mig på. Den påminner mig alltid om 80-talsboken som fanns i barndomshemmet, som bara spädde på mitt självförakt.

@Shobnom_Haque @NagingtonUoM For me, the fixed schedule helps with discipline. There is no “doing it later”. Later is not an option. And also lots of recovery time in the evenings and weekend so there is energy during work hours. But we’re all different, so I guess we all need our own strategies.

@LRemahl @LillaJonna Jag fick inte ha plastpiercing i septum under op. Skulle opereras i huvudet, halvsittande position. Tror det var något med sövningen och att de skulle eller kanske skulle behöva stoppa saker i näsan?

@nklsaltrmrk Jag skulle iofs också tillägga att titta på om resultat och slutsatser hänger ihop, eller om slutsatserna dragits orimligt långt ifrån resultat. Men jag är bara doktorand och inte inom samma disciplin, så ev fel ute 🤷‍♀️

Eftersom debatten om den här avhandlingen lär bli högljudd och hetsig tror jag det är bra om fler gör vad jag har gjort: läs metodavsnitten, materialdiskussionen och problemformuleringen. Ställ er frågan om det verkar rimligt att den här avhandlingen godkänns.

Sameh Egyptson disputerar alltså. Oavsett om avhandlingen godkänns eller inte så kommer det vara en succé. Om det underkänns så kommer det tolkas som ett uttryck för att sanningen tystas, om det godkänns så har han rätt. Formatet till trots lär den också bli otroligt läst.

The more tired I get, the more I say things out loud to remember them. Did data analysis today, for way too long since it was “not that much left”, and there were sooo many numbers out of my mouth! I’m sure my office mates appreciate that I work from home instead.
