Explanation about @Footium Footium is a long-term football management game built around true digital club ownership. When you join the game, you don’t just pick a team for a single season, you become the owner of a club that permanently exists within Footium’s football world. There are 3,252 clubs in total, all owned and managed by real players. Every club is a digital asset, and once you own one, your choices shape its future across multiple seasons. You manage your squad, build tactics, develop youth players, trade on the market, and compete against other real managers. A core part of the game is the youth academy, which generates new academy players each season. These prospects can be developed into future stars, used to strengthen your own squad, or traded with other managers. Your academy becomes the foundation for long-term team building and sustainability. Footium’s competitive structure is organised into eight divisions, forming a full football pyramid. Every league contains 12 clubs, and each season follows the same system: Top 2 clubs get promoted to a higher division Bottom 4 clubs get relegated to the division below This creates a dynamic environment where every match matters. Promotions open the door to stronger competition and more prestige, while relegations force you to rethink strategy and rebuild. For players who want to try the game before committing, Footium offers the option to join as a caretaker manager.
