Hancock Eagles Soccer

As a team, your Hancock Eagles varsity team was nominated - and won - the Sportsmanship Team Award for our section at the state awards!!!

Hancock awards go to Aleidy Jimenez, Mental Toughness; Fatima Sanchez, Positive Attitude; Flor Jimenez, Most Improved; and Avril Macias, MVP.

I know, I know…what’s better than all of that, right? Well, let me tell ya something.

All Sectional Honors go to Kathy Lopez and Aleidy Jimenez! Avril Macias was selected to the All State team! Woohoo - amazing stuff, team!

We also took home some impressive state awards! Sonia Salazar got the Sportsmanship Award and Liz Salto again took home All Academic honors.

And finally making 2nd Team All City, our very own Avril Macias! Congrats on city awards, team!

All Conference - Premier South: Adriana Alvarez, Yaylen Martinez, and Kathy Lopez. Way to go ladies!!!

All Academic First Team Honors - top two spots overall go to Liz Salto and Alondra Regalado! Impressive!!! Aleidy Jimenez made 2nd team. We love these smart kiddos!

Our Hancock Eagles took home a slew of honors this year! Let’s start with CPS honors, shall we?

Game day! Regionals are at St. Francis in Wheaton, at 7:30pm. Go Eagles!

Eagle closed out the season with a win at Oak Lawn, 4-1. Yaylen Martinez and Adriana Alvarez each had 2 goals. Brittany Soto had one assist and Aleidy Jimenez had 7 saves. On to regionals!

Eagles fell to WY tonight in city, but guess what? That still makes us a top 8 team in the city. These Eagles are the most amazing, kind, humble, positive bunch ever. They’re just the best! ⚽️🖤🦅

Eagles advance in the City Championship, beating Kennedy 0-2. Goals came from Liz Salto and Adriana Alvarez. Next up: Whitney Young, 4:30 tomorrow. Let's go!

JV also brought home their 2nd straight conference win, beating Curie 5-0! Way to go Eagles!

Eagles won their 2nd conference game in a row, taking down Curie 4-0! Kathy Lopez scored 2 goals, and Kiara Lara & Adriana Alvarez(PK) each added 1. Aleidy Jimenez had 4 saves.

It's game day! Woohoo! Eagles take on Curie at West Lawn Park, varsity at 4:30 followed by JV. GO EAGLES!

After consulting the rule book, it is confirmed. The Eagles 0-1 score holds up as a final! Conference win in the books! Avril Macias had the goal in the last few minutes of the half to seal the deal! Great job!🦅🖤⚽️
