In a remote village in Nandurbar, India, Babita received constant guidance from frontline health workers for her high-risk pregnancy. When labor began, neighbors carried her 3 km to reach an ambulance, helping her deliver safely.

In Kimpese, DRC, midwife Mado championed the use of carbetocin to prevent postpartum hemorrhage. After months of persistence and partner support from Jhpiego and others, the facility now provides it for every delivery.

New calibrated drapes introduced through the AMPLI-PPHI project are helping providers, like Silvia Lanya, in Makueni County, Kenya measure postpartum blood loss more accurately and respond faster to emergencies.

Training through the AMPLI-PPHI project helped Dr. Dhirendra Soni and her team strengthen teamwork and adopt the PPH clinical bundle which has reduced referrals and improved response time to maternal emergencies.

AMRoots is doing health research where it's needed. In the communities that are most affected. Working with rural farms in South Africa's Eastern Cape, they're mapping #AMR across the #OneHealth environment - working with local people, for the local community. Ms. Maimouna Diallo had given birth four times at home, unaware of the risks of severe bleeding. After learning about maternal health through local campaigns, she chose to deliver at a health center and has since become an advocate for safer births.
