For 60 years, Professor Hattendorf has served our Navy and our Nation as a Surface Warfare Officer during the Vietnam War, chronicled the history of Newport, Rhode Island, and the growth of the @NavalWarCollege —reinforcing that Newport is indeed a “Navy Town.”
My latest collection of collected essays, Reflections on Naval History, is the third such volume. It includes 30 essays published between 2011 and 2021 in 450 pages.
