We’re delighted to announce that @NHSGIRFT have kindly agreed to provide support to the @BSR led #JIALearn collaborative for 2023/24! This means we'll be able to recruit new teams to take part in the programme, enhancing the data collection & health outcomes for #JIA patients

Yesterday we held a virtual celebration event as the end of the collaborative approaches for Cohort 1. All of the #JIALearn teams talked about their journeys through the project, their achievements and what the collaborative has meant to them

Woke with stiff, swollen fingers. All I wanted to do was crochet as lately it's what gets me out of bed. To not dwell on pain & restriction, I read comics (something I can do) to get joy & fulfillment. Arthritis takes so much from me, but I can't let it take everything #JIA #OT

Maria and Rowan had a wonderful time in Birmingham last week presenting interim findings from our evaluation of @JIAlearn. @JIAlearn is a national juvenile idiopathic arthritis quality improvement programme funded by @RheumatologyUK and delivered by @RUBISQi.

We have worked with multiple JIA charities and support organisations to ensure that patient voice is central to our work.

@RheumatologyUK @NHSGIRFT Our aim is to improve patient reported experiences and outcomes of care for CYP with JIA by January 2024. We began collecting a dataset in Jan 23 to measure this aim, and have also brought all 12 teams together face to face to discuss their findings.

What is #JIALearn? The JIA learning collaborative was established in 2022 to upskill Paediatric Rheumatology teams in QI methodologies and reduce the gap between ‘ideal world’ research findings and ‘real world’ clinical care and outcomes.
