We've put up with this garbage for years, some have even been persuaded to say "Offside is offside" to justify it. It was never meant to be measured scientifically. It's level in real football. So another new law will now happen. VAR - maximum interference for minimum benefit

@spike1003 @RDPHistory Very much so, depending on the ROE but the inability of the Senior service to deploy rapidly and in numbers is, in my view at least, a major cause for concern. Especially given the primary responsibility of the asset in question being missle defence.

@spike1003 @RDPHistory Really not the point for 2 reasons. One, is symbolic. I reference Rickis own post about Lord Carrington earlier today. Secondly the lack of asset readiness. The 80s navy sent a task force in days. Today it’s next week with further time for transit. Not the necessary deterrent.

@JIPat72 @RDPHistory We’ve got RAF Typhoons out there. Literally based there. The Cypriot Navy has 10 warships of its own.

@RDPHistory I respect and enjoy your historic knowledge but I think we both know what the original poster is getting at. The Cypriot authorities are also openly questioning why the UK has no naval assets patrolling its sovereign territory. This is gross negligence.

A lot of criticism of Jason Knight on here. In terms of football prowess he is not at the levels pre-injury. He will know that. But what I take issue with is people that criticise him for “waving his arms” Totally out of order, he was desperately trying to win.

Surely that’s our throw in at the end? Unbelievably bad performance from the officials. Really good from us all over - attacking wise first half, scrambled defending at times but some Vitek superb saves the difference

The thing is, Yu would actually fit in and excel in the current 4-2-3-1 in the Earthy role yesterday…

@ExtremeFootbal4 Played at Bristol City at the end of his career. He played with as much passion as he I suggest he did at the start of his career. Casually walking off the pitch at Millwall amongst a pitch invasion a particular memory.
