Hey. I’m Stage 4 as well. I fasted before and after. I didn’t want anything on my stomach in case I got sick beforehand. Afterwards, I really didn’t feel like eating much. I did try to eat popsicles during the actual treatment. It sounds silly, but you want to keep your mouth cold so you don’t develop any mouth sores during treatment (this only applies if you’re doing the “Red Devil” chemo). Some people are able to eat during chemo with no problems. But I never wanted to risk having anything on my stomach in case I was nauseous. This worked well for me. Praying for you constantly!

Quick question… Is it better to fast prior to the chemo treatment or afterwards? Please explain why if possible

@StephenGarcia I Always do 24 hours of just liquid food like meal replacement shakes before a chemo infusion due to easier to throw up liquid than solids. And after I'd find something that is easy for you to eat to get nutrients but main think is always hydrate before during and after
