To all the decent, hardworking parents going through this right now — please hear this: you are not alone. After speaking with hundreds of thousands of young people and parents across the UK, one pattern has become impossible to ignore. The vast majority of kids getting pulled into gang culture, knife crime, violence, bullying, and even turning against their own families are consuming the same things online. The same music.The same clothing brands.The same trainers.The same drugs.The same social media platforms. All pushed to them through algorithms on the mobile phones in their pockets. This isn’t a coincidence. Huge corporations are making billions while shaping the minds of our children. They promote violent images, dangerous lifestyles and toxic role models — all to sell products and drive engagement. Knife crime is not the root of the problem.It’s the final stage of a much bigger process. The real issue is this:How are companies allowed to profit from pushing violence and harmful content to children? We must start asking serious questions. Our children deserve their childhoods back.They deserve safe environments, positive influences and real opportunities.
