@HimeDestini @BlueRainy4 It had great beaches 🏖️ but not in that area anyway; there were high cliffs and the coast was dotted with various headlands and promontories! But I'll post a series of photos from there one day, because I'd like to post more exotic things for now! 🏮

@HimeDestini It was cold enough to preserve the ice that had accumulated over centuries, 🏔️ but not cold enough to freeze the water! (I was there during the summer season!)

@HimeDestini It's true that the temperature difference between where you leave and where you arrive can be quite significant, which is why you should always have warm clothes in your bag! 🧣🎒 :)

@HimeDestini I climbed up to the Grand Couloirs glacier; then, mountaineering equipment is needed to reach the summit of the Grande Casse,🧗‍♀️ which rises to 3855 meters, so I descended. However, I was very close to the summit of the Pointe de la Vanoise, which you can see in the last photo! 🏔️

@JKoumany Is that near the top of the mountain?

@HimeDestini Well, let's just say that somewhere further away, a security guard was watching him to make sure he didn't enter his property! 😈🥊

@HimeDestini This ball of fluff can graze in any alpine pasture, as long as it doesn't venture outside its territory, otherwise it will end in an epic battle ⚔️ with one of its kind! XD

@HimeDestini Is Dryas octopetala 🌸 (the eight-petaled avens), which generally flowers on the calcareous soils of mid- and high-mountain areas ! 🗻

@HimeDestini Below 2000 meters, the forest is master of the land, 🌲 beyond this point, there are only alpine meadows, then bare rock and ice as you climb! 🛘🏔️

@JKoumany There must've been a lot of trees.

@HimeDestini It's a Marmot, a ball of fur that lives in the high and mid-mountain meadows, feeding on grass, leaves and wild fruits 🌿🍓 and spending the whole winter in its burrow under a thick layer of snow! 🏔️
