@dibsemeritus @jon_greenberg Proximity to Lake County (IL) is more important than proximity to downtown CHI. It has a HHI of ~$109k compared to ~$69k in Lake County (IN) and ~$88k in Porter County. Looking beyond the 10 - 13 home games a year, I'd guess they'd prefer to build near the most purchasing power.

I’m watching an Indiana House livestream. What a world. I think their first order of business is naming a stretch of highway for @Jurko64.
English

@Beck8200 @JoshReynolds24 Any injuries on the other team or just the ones on the Packers count?
English

@JoshReynolds24 True. Also note that they had to recover an onside kick and force overtime at home to beat a team without their best defensive player and starting QB. They are building something but I think they are more likely to lose early in the playoffs than win multiple games.
English

@AdamHoge This isn't just about a stadium, but creating a surrounding entertainment district. The AH location unlocks nearby Lake County, IL (HHI around $109k). Indiana's Lake County has a HHI around $69k. They already own the AH land. Look beyond another bad bluff.
English

The #Bears threatening to build a stadium in Northwest Indiana is more than a bluff. You -- and Gov. Pritzker -- should take it seriously.

@jon_greenberg @AdamHoge Only care bc Poles had a chance to set a new “standard” for what they’ll consider for a HC candidate and say no, Brown doesn’t meet that standard. Instead Brown keeps showing he isn’t cut out for this and the org still wants to act like he’s in the mix for ‘25. It’s bad optics.
English

@AdamHoge Also, who cares? The season's been over for two months.
English

@EOpsych This chart's a little deceiving bc those bars show ratios, not magnitude. Based on the breakdown, 1.57x more Millennial men (compared to Gen Z men) voted for Harris. Basically, Gen Z men were more likely than any other age + gender group to not vote at all.
English

@radiologiccfh @Msalexisjade Stevenson has proven repeatedly that he can’t control himself. Got the costly flag, was kept in the game and continued to jaw despite having just incurred the penalty. When an adult player can’t act like an adult, it’s on the coach to step in.
English

@radiologiccfh @Msalexisjade I don’t disagree. But those adults didn’t decide to not wind down time w 1st and goal on the 1. They didn’t concede a 15 yard throw to set Daniels up for the HM. They didn’t forego a TO before the HM. They didn’t send just 3 rushers and bizarrely keep Edwards mid depth as a spy.

So we were blaming Flus but....

Crazy video I got of #Commanders vs #bears walk off

@Ecnerwal23 Three straight throws on 1st and 5 was a choice.

@ChimaOdunze @jacobinfante24 It's not a bad thing to avoid the pressure a typical 9th overall pick carries. This is about the next decade, not the first six games. There was only one guy the vast majority of fans wanted at the 9th pick. Anyone questioning it now is in the vocal (and idiotic) minority.
English

@ChimaOdunze @jacobinfante24 Nabers and MHJ are getting those targets on a 2-4 team from struggling QBs. The Bears' O is a work in progress with several key playmakers only having a handful of games working together. Any serious fan understands Rome's talent and abilities, regardless of initial targets.
English

Who the guys ahead of Rome Odunze compete with for catches:
1. Kirk, Davis, Strange/Engram
2. Wan’Dale, Slayton, Theo Johnson
3. Meyers, Tucker, 3 games of Davante
4. McBride, Wilson, Dortch
Odunze has DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Cole Kmet.
I’m happy with where he’s at. #Bears

@JamesFox917 @bmarsh1013 I don’t see how this directly punishes bad owners or incentivizes them to improve their teams anyway. It really just disincentivizes fans to care about the team or hold onto hope during lean times through the farm system. Ultimately bad for the MLB.
English

@bmarsh1013 It’s not but they don’t like tanking because of lack of spending. This won’t help them in that regard. Teams will just not spend on players for longer.
English

@AlyssaBergamini Disappointing, but not at all surprising, that a WS employee thinks she is in any position to cast judgement on the fans. God forbid a fanbase unfairly tied to your incompetent bosses are able to find one shred of joy in an otherwise soul crushing season.
English

@MathBomb Villain's strong, but he plays a con man in Six Degrees of Separation.
English

Another good one, I don't think Will Smith has ever played a villain. Thin he could crush it, too, though his tendency to ham up his roles sometimes might make it tougher if he has to overcome writing.
Erik Lambert@ErikLambert1

Ooh, good one, I can't think of a film with Daniel Craig as the villain. Think he has the range to play a strong villain, too!
Am I missing anything he did?
Stephen Glansberg@RenobHawk
@MathBomb Daniel Craig?
English

@shifty3212 @southsideluk @ChicagoBears If you can get the player in their prime (whether that's when they were on the Bears or not) then this is absolutely the answer.
