Otzelberger, who has never gone to a final four turned down Carolina. Lloyd, the coach of a program going to their first final four in 25 years turned down Carolina. Kentucky dealt with the same rejection last year. It’s not about being a blue blood, it’s about being comfortable.

@JLHouse79 In their 40s and 30s…and for no more than 4 years before they were back in college. These aren’t comparable.

As most fans, I have many thoughts on the coaching search. In no particular order Lloyd, May, McCollum, Schertz That’s it. Rally on those 4. Pick one. Let’s ride.

@JLHouse79 He’s 60. Hasn’t coached college for over a decade. 20 years since his titles. Made it out of 1rd of NBA playoffs once in 11 years. So gamble with that, just to do it again in 5-7years? UNC isn’t a rehab job. It’s a destination. Treat it as such.

@JLHouse79 @SleehRat1789 Well, it’s been pretty clear, the players he’s recruited aren’t good enough. He’s signed about 14/15 guards from high school/portal in 5 years. 2 of them are in the NBA & 0 Lottery picks. He can’t recruit guards. He Couldn’t even get an Asian kid from Princeton ffs.

Hire a damn coach and he becomes family..it’s not a hard concept
