My unhinged Disney thoughts this morning: Sometimes I think about Elsa & Anna’s parents and they really just piss me off because what do you mean you let your kids grow up isolated, and grief-stricken, with one starved for love and one believing she was cursed?! 😡

@NurysKMateo You had such a relatable reaction, it came through that you were mad at yourself and you even moved away to seek space to be angry. And he was being supportive and showing you that he was there and that you didn't have to go through it alone. A real, relatable moment.

I let him know that my biggest issue was how right off the bat he effectively accused my daughter of lying. He was humble, apologized, assured me that it would not happen again & that he had self reflecting to do on how he handled the situation. Whew.

"I have a hard time believing that," my 5 year old daughter's white male school principal said to me today. I was reporting a safety concern my daughter had shared with me. His first words were accusing her of lying. Of making something up. What the actual fuck.
