The NCHSAA boys tennis championships are all set for this weekend. In all, 14 teams will come to Burlington hoping for a dual-team championship. But Badgett didn't post a good, or even great, score. He posted the best one ever recorded in @NCHSAA history. East Surry's Pennson Badgett wasted no time in making his mark at the NCHSAA 3A boys golf championships. On Day One at Longleaf Golf & Family Club, he broke the NCHSAA record for lowest 18-hole round at a championship with an 11-under 60. The previous record of 63 was held by Hickory's J.T. Poston, now on the PGA Tour. The Tennessee recruit carded 9 birdies and an eagle (on 522-yard No. 14) on the day and holds a four-stroke lead going into Day Two.
