Morality naturally emerges from interactions among humans living in a tribe or society, where harmful behaviors are discouraged. It’s not tied to divinity or any higher power, but rather to survival. You avoid stealing because it destabilizes the community, sparks disputes and violence, and increases the risk of collapse, among other negative consequences.

For example, would killing an elderly member of the tribe who is slowing everyone down in a potentially fatal snow storm be a morally virtuous action despite being better for the tribe? Absolutely not. Many grey areas.

I find it simplest to wholesale dismiss predictions about the future from people who can’t see clearly in the present. Listening to anyone pontificate about what’s going to happen in a decade, is asinine if they can’t accurately tell you what to expect today or tomorrow.
