Chipped in 16 pts, 4 reb, plus a handful of assists + steals in a tight 52-51 win over Notre Dame (Conn.). The 6-1 rising senior played with toughness and high IQ, staying active on both ends, attacking downhill, and finishing through contact. Lane Mahan, a 6’5” guard from the 2027 class, put together a strong performance for Jackson-Reed against Oak Ridge at DC Live, scoring 24 points and knocking down seven three-pointers. He got into a rhythm early and consistently found ways to get open and hit shots from deep. Late in the game, Mahan buried back-to-back threes to help seal the win, showing poise and the ability to step up in big moments. For those that don’t know him, he was the head coach at @JRHSTigersHoops & led them to national prominence in recent years. He was also a coach in the @teamdurant_AAU organization, as well.
