In some personal news - I was just laid off from AJ+, my home of ten years. Especially devastated to leave behind three incredible series I’ve been working on with the incomparable producer & editor @NicholasGarbaty - Backspace, Occupation Style Guide & The Dissidents (this was in production). We did good work, kid & someone needs to hire you immediately. Despite the circumstances of today, I am blessed that I was able to do what I had wanted to do since I was a teenager — work for Al Jazeera. I am proud of my colleagues, especially those in Gaza who continue to show all of us what this work is truly about and who it is for. Alhumdullilah for what was and bismillah for what will be. Will be taking a moment off from here.
