RIB Secretary General @P_Kabanda has officially opened a two-day meeting of the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization (#EAPCCO) organs in #Kigali. The meeting aims to develop actionable strategies and strengthen regional cooperation and partnerships to combat transnational organized crime and terrorism. In his opening remarks, the Secretary General noted the progress made so far by the organisation and urged participants to make full use of the platform to exchange ideas, share best practices, and recommit to the core values of unity, collaboration, and service for further success.

Today at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame hosted Francine LeFrak, President and Founder of the Francine LeFrak Foundation, and her delegation for lunch. Francine LeFrak is leading a group of first-time visitors to Rwanda bringing together leaders from education, real estate, law, art, finance, media, philanthropy, and technology for an in-depth understanding of Rwanda’s history, the country’s reconstruction journey after the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, socio-economic transformation and inclusive leadership.

This afternoon at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received graduate students and fellows from the Harvard Kennedy School, various Harvard University schools, as well as the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, who are concluding their week-long Harvard Rwanda Trek 2026. During the exchange, President Kagame highlighted Rwanda’s transformation over the past 32 years with a focus on efficient and accountable governance, institution-building, investing in the next generation, and advancing self-reliance.

Today, the Rwanda Security Force (RSF), through its Civil–Military Cooperation (CIMIC) outreach in coordination with local leadership, donated scholastic materials to students of Buji Primary School in Mocímboa da Praia District. The donation of scholastic materials was intended to benefit 525 students at Buji Primary School. The Director of Buji Primary School, Mr. Iahaia Tomé, expressed his gratitude to the RSF for its continued support to the school and the Buji community. On behalf of the Mocímboa da Praia District authorities, the Director of Education, Mr. Salmo Bacary also extended his appreciation to the RSF for its ongoing effort to restore peace and security in the province, as well as for supporting the education sector.
