Delighted to have participated in the ACUNS Annual Meeting 2026 at Universidade NOVA de Lisboa as part of a strong O.P. Jindal Global University delegation, alongside Prof. R. Sudarshan (Dean, Jindal School of Government and Public Policy), Prof. Stephen Marks (Dean, Jindal School of Public Health and Human Development), and Prof. Vesselin Popovski (Professor & Vice Dean and Executive Director, Centre for the Study of United Nations). My conference contributions included: • Governing the Machines: AI, Autonomous Weapons, and the Coming Age of Machine-Accelerated Conflict • Why the UN Should Red-Team AI Companies: A Standardized Evaluation Pipeline to Test Compliance with Human Rights (co-authored with Patrick Montjourides, University of Zurich) • Serving as Discussant for the panel Technopolarity and Visions of Control: Non-State Actors, Emerging Technology, and the Future of Multilateralism. It was a privilege to engage with colleagues from around the world on questions of AI governance, multilateralism, peace, and global cooperation.
