Met zijn komst naar de NAVO-top in Den Haag wil de Oekraïense president Zelensky niet uit het publieke debat verdwijnen, vertelt @JSoldatiuk. Doordat Oekraïne in oorlog is, bezit het land voor de NAVO waardevolle kennis over militaire innovatie, voegt ze toe.

On March 26, “Ukrainian Prism” in partnership with the @epc_eu @SCEEUS_UI and @UA_EUMission held a busy day of expert events in Brussels, with various audiences - experts and diplomats, journalists and members of the @Europarl_EN ‼️ The main message: Europe must act quickly, clearly and decisively, because it is not only about the fate of Ukraine, but also about the fate of the entire continent. 🛡️ At a closed-door expert event with the participation of representatives of European institutions, permanent representations of member states to the EU, as well as think tanks, an attempt was made to dive deeply into the topic of the possible role of European partners and the EU in strengthening Ukraine's negotiating position. 📢 During the public policy dialogue, invited experts spoke about the urgency of EU decisions, forms of support for Ukraine, and the role of civil society. 🏛️ In the @Europarl_EN the discussion revolved around issues of public support in EU countries for political decisions that would help strengthen the common European voice in support of Ukraine and in confronting the Russian aggressor. Almost no one had any doubts that Europe should act autonomously, given the alarming signals from across the ocean. Although it is still too early to talk about specific practical solutions that the EU and major European capitals can offer, the discussion clearly demonstrated the need for constant involvement of the European side in brainstorming and expert discussions on ways to bring peace back to the continent.
