Once again, Utah has shown the nation what makes our state so exceptional. Congratulations to everyone who helped Utah earn the Best in Show State Pavilion award at the Great American State Fair in Washington, D.C. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. For 250 years, the United States has stood as the world's greatest example of freedom. Our nation was founded on the enduring belief that our rights come from God, that liberty is worth defending and that free people can accomplish extraordinary things. As we commemorate America250, may we all remember the patriots who secured our independence, the servicemen and women who defend our freedoms and all those whose sacrifice has allowed our nation to endure and prosper. Here in Utah, we proudly carry that legacy forward. Our state's success reflects the enduring principles that have made America exceptional for two and a half centuries. As we gather with family, friends and neighbors this Fourth of July, may we reflect on the blessings of liberty, honor those who made them possible and recommit ourselves to preserving this remarkable nation for generations to come. Happy Independence Day, and God bless Utah. God bless the United States of America.

Ten years ago, Stadler chose Utah as its North American home. That decision wasn't just about building trains, it was about investing in Utah's people. I was proud to help bring Stadler to our great state, and it's been incredible to see what that partnership has made possible. Today, it has created hundreds of high-quality jobs, strengthened our manufacturing economy and, through its apprenticeship program, opened doors for students to gain hands-on experience and build rewarding careers in advanced manufacturing. I've always believed our greatest strength is our people. When business, education and government work together, we build opportunity and strengthen families and a brighter future for the next generation. We still have work to do to ensure Utah remains the best economy in the country and the best place to raise a family. Here's to the next 10 years of innovation, opportunity and success.

Today's Supreme Court decision reaffirms states' authority to determine participation in school athletics and protect girls' sports. For more than 50 years, Title IX has protected and expanded opportunities for generations of female athletes by ensuring equal access to compete. We remain committed to preserving those opportunities.   Utah has consistently approached this issue with respect, thoughtfulness and a commitment to fairness for all students. We will continue to ensure that women-only spaces are maintained from the playing field to the podium, giving Utah girls the chance to shoot, score and succeed.

Today, we celebrated the groundbreaking at The Point—an investment in Utah's future. The Point will become a vibrant community with new homes, parks, trails, open space and opportunities for entertainment, business and world-class health care. Utah's success has never happened by accident. It comes from planning ahead to ensure future generations inherit an even better Utah than the one we enjoy today.

The influence of a good father reaches far beyond his own home. Being a father to my children has been the greatest joy and privilege of my life, and I am grateful for the example, guidance and love my own father provided. Through countless acts of service, sacrifice and encouragement, fathers help prepare the next generation to succeed and strengthen our communities. Happy Father’s Day!

For nearly 250 years, the Stars and Stripes have represented sacrifice, unity, freedom and the belief that America’s best days are still ahead. Happy Flag Day. May we always honor the generations who built this country and continue striving to leave it stronger for the next. 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the courage and sacrifice of the Allied forces who landed on the beaches of Normandy 82 years ago. On D-Day, thousands of individuals willingly stepped into uncertainty and danger in defense of freedom.  Their bravery helped change the course of history and secure the liberties that generations have since enjoyed. On this anniversary, we remember those who gave their lives and express our deepest gratitude to all who have worn the uniform in defense of our nation and the cause of liberty around the world.

In response to the demand letter I sent to @kevinolearytv, he agreed to all conditions. Protecting Utah’s water, especially the future of the Great Salt Lake, remains one of my highest priorities. As a result of the letter, the project now includes a commitment of water that did not previously exist for the Great Salt Lake — while also reducing the overall effective size of the proposed project area by 75%. It is important to highlight that this process is still in its earliest stages. There must be written commitments in place, and the proposal must undergo a full permitting and environmental review process, just like any other development project in Utah. The response to the demand letter I sent demonstrates that public engagement matters and that Utahns' concerns are being heard. Utah can once again become an example for America, proving that when people come together, they can build the right way and leave something better for the next generation.

It was an honor to join Union Pacific, Northrop Grumman and NASA in Corinne, Utah, as the rocket motors for the Artemis III mission began their journey to Cape Canaveral, Florida. More than 150 years after Utah helped unite the nation through the railroad, our state is helping power the next era of American innovation, exploration and discovery. Thanks to Utah's skilled workforce and culture of innovation, we're continuing to play a vital role in shaping America's future, from connecting a continent to helping return Americans to the Moon.

I’ve sent a letter directly to @kevinolearytv calling for a 75% reduction in the proposed data center project area, from 40,000 acres to approximately 10,000 acres. I am also requiring that any excess water be treated and dedicated to the Great Salt Lake, even though none of the water currently used in that area flows to the lake. In addition, I am demanding greater transparency, stronger conservation commitments and enhanced protections for Utah’s natural resources as this project moves through the review process.

Today, we remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Because of their courage and selflessness, future generations have had the opportunity to live in freedom and pursue lives of purpose and prosperity. Here in Utah, we are especially mindful of the service and sacrifice of the service members connected to Hill Air Force Base and the military families across our state who continue a proud tradition of defending our country. We honor the fallen with deep gratitude and renew our commitment to preserving the principles and freedoms they fought to defend.

Critical minerals are the foundation of every major strategic objective America has. The countries that lead the next century will not just be the ones that innovate. They will be the ones that have the resources to build — to build energy, to build infrastructure, to build supply chains and secure the minerals required to make it all possible. Operation Gigawatt is Utah’s opportunity to strengthen domestic energy, create jobs and secure the supply chains our economy and national defense depend on. We are saddened to learn of the passing of Robert Woodson, a courageous leader whose work challenged people to rise above division and focus on the values that make our nation unique and special. Robert spent meaningful time in Utah meeting with lawmakers, universities, faith leaders and communities. He brought people together for honest conversations during a time when our country too often chooses conflict over understanding. Our state is better because of the time, wisdom and leadership he shared with us. We extend our condolences to his family, loved ones and all who were influenced by his remarkable life and legacy. He will be greatly missed.
