@SanAntonioTim @chad___B @michaelschwab13 Wesneski was 1-4 with a 4.50 era before he got hurt. Blanco was 3-4 with a 4.10. Walter was pitching very well, but not sure if that was sustainable. There was probably a reason he had only pitched in 9 mlb games prior to 2025 at the age of 27/28.

They have some vets they can trade and do a soft reset. They have several picks coming up in the top 100. They have a chance to rebound fairly quickly w/health.

@JStyers89753 @chad___B @michaelschwab13 I think this is a major exaggeration. They have 9 pitchers on the IL including their ace and closer. Injuries are the primary reason they are where they are now. They did win 87 games last year.

Also Crane thought promoting from within the training staff to ‘change’ things up was actually going to work. He’s just fucking stupid. So the injuries aren’t a good excuse when there are known problems.

Is May 4th & they are only 4.5 games out despite leading the league in injuries. This is a natural regression. They still won 90, 88, and 87 games the last 3 years while leading the league in injuries.

He came from Tampa where is big into analytics as well and just helped Toronto to a pennant and one win away from a WS. He might have not been as good as Luhnow but I believe this team would still be competitive with him.

so instead of starting Ryan Weiss, the #astros decided to start Steven Okert. Now Weiss has to come in the game with the bases loaded and 2 out because Okert couldnt get out of the 1st. 1-0 #Dodgers and Weiss has no room for error or more runs score. shouldve started Weiss.
