When I first decided to become a sports journalist some 20 years ago, I routinely devoured the WaPo sports section as a "how-to" guide because of the level of journalists they had and the level of journalism they were churning out.

I’m sorry but if you told me you haven’t read the Washington Post sports coverage I would assume you just didn’t read sports journalism. WaPo has had some of the nation’s best sportswriters for decades.
