Sabitlenmiş Tweet

I was scrolling on Facebook this morning.
Just a normal Sunday. World Cup updates, memes, as usual.
Then a video pop-up and stopped me.
A small boy. That Couldn't be more than 11, or 12 years old. With Small hands. The kind of hands that should be holding a pencil or kicking a football with friends.
He was dismantling an AK-47.
Piece by piece. Very Calm. And Focused. Like he had done it a thousand times.
Then he put it back together.
I sat there and couldn't move.
This is not a movie. This is not far away. This is Adamawa State. Northern Nigeria. Our home.
Someone taught that child how to do that. Someone put that weapon in those small hands and called it knowledge.
While we argue about politics and football on this app, somewhere in the North a child is being turned into a weapon.
This is the crisis nobody wants to name.
We are not just losing land to bandits. We are losing our children to them.
And the silence from those in power is deafening.
