@MarkKaboly I disagree, Rodgers had no other option than taking the $22m from the Steelers. Fake Rodgers in action, wait until week 3 when the true feelings come out to the media…

Here’s a look at the first team Steelers OL: Fautanu and McCormick on the left side, Anderson and Cook on the right side

@CharmCity95 These are completely different situations though. It's not even close. The only common factor here is age. Not Arm strength, locker room, money... just, we know he aint the future. but the guy can still help the team.

@JTT45 Again, you should’ve gotten rid of big Ben a couple of years ago instead of holding onto him a bit too long.

@CharmCity95 Exactly. This, compared to that, is an underpay. So I'm fine with it.

@JTT45 Why 25 million for an aging quarterback? I feel like you guys should just tank so you can get your quarterback for the future.

@CharmCity95 Pouring it on thick tonight I see. You know we don't do that. Not only that but the markets are shifting again, especially in terms of draft capital. Build a team that can just beat the guy in front of them. Put Trent fucking Dilfer back there. I don't give a fuck.

@CharmCity95 1. We have the money. 2. It's one year. 3. He wasn't our problem last season. 4. QB room resource for the young guys. 5. Continuity with Mike McCarthy. 6. Middling QB money for a HoF player. Tell me ONE problem with this signing...

This Ben Roethlisberger “trade rumor” making the rounds again isn’t even new news. The original stories date back to the Todd Haley era in Pittsburgh, when tensions were high after the Steelers moved on from Bruce Arians. Ben reportedly wasn’t happy about the coaching change, wasn’t thrilled with Haley’s offense, and Haley himself wasn’t exactly known for being easy to work with either. At the time, national media floated all kinds of speculation. There were rumors the Steelers weren’t fully committed financially to Roethlisberger around 2013/2014, and Ian Rapoport even mentioned the Rams as a possible trade partner hours before one Sunday kickoff. None of it ever happened, and Ben signed an extension in 2015. This recycled story also incorrectly claims the Steelers won the Super Bowl in 2010. They didn’t. They lost to Green Bay. Another reason for the rumors back then? During the 2010 offseason, Pittsburgh traded WR Santonio Holmes and there was speculation surrounding Ben after his six-game suspension. Again, nothing materialized. The newer Sam Bradford angle makes even less sense in hindsight. Bradford was the No. 1 overall pick in 2010 and the Rams were financially tied to him under the old rookie contract system. Meanwhile, Roethlisberger stayed in Pittsburgh through 2021, even restructuring his deal late in his career to help the team compete. Bradford’s injury history, dating back to his final year in college, also raises questions about how realistic any of these rumors ever were to begin with.

@BaldyNFL @steelers 💯Sir! I have always been a huge fan of his. I am glad to see him get some of the appreciation he earned in recent weeks. People bust my chops for how highly I value the position he played. Hint: it's because I watched this man play...
