If the #Sixers are in need of another big around the deadline, Deandre Ayton & Jaylin Williams (both making around $8m AAV) are two names that could make sense financially

I think the center group is what it is at this point. The Sixers have the assets to get a better reserve at the deadline or prior, if need be.

In all, I think this team has the upside to fit and gel much better than some believe. Each player has differing strengths that often help cover up for each others weaknesses
Nick Nurse is going to be tasked with making each of them buy into a role that best supports winning.

#5 Option: VJ Edgecombe
VJ will take on a lot of the dirty work for this starting 5 (rebounding, loose balls, POA defense)— while also being a guy that can pop for 20-30+ pts on any given night. VJ will be the scariest 5th starter in the league, impacting every game on both ends

@JTagHoops Don’t think there’s any way they could get him. He makes like $18M. They’d have to wait til midseason and aggregate Simons/Dean/another minimum salary in order to get there and I’m not sure that’s the move

Just in: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has agreed to a buyout with the Memphis Grizzlies and plans to sign a one-year, $3.9 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers after clearing waivers, sources tell ESPN. The two-time NBA champion with the Lakers and Nuggets, who was part of 2020 title along with LeBron James, gives the 76ers a wing shooter and defender.

When paired with the Magic, who have had the worst spacing and playmaking in the league for years, and the tanking Grizzlies, his numbers were obviously going to take a hit
