I think most people’s logic in pressing blue is pretty simple: some people are going to do it regardless, likely a large minority if not the majority, so with that in mind, you can probably choose blue and survive. And people who have a sense of human nature realize others will also think this way, so there is no real danger in choosing blue. Basically that simple. The cold hard logical principles don’t hold up to actual human behavior. People who don’t have a clear grasp of human psychology can’t wrap their brains around this.
