Serving as your Multnomah County Chair has been one of the most challenging and meaningful experiences of my life, second only to that of being a parent. After a lot of reflection and heartfelt conversations with my family, I’ve decided not to seek another term as Chair.

Community leaders support me because I have advocated for policies that support underrepresented communities in Multnomah County. I have a track record of listening to community members, rather than corporate interests, and working on behalf of every citizen of Multnomah County.

As a latina elected official, I know how important it is to center the voices of BIPOC communities in the decision making process. I am proud to have the endorsement of organizations fighting for racial justice. We will work together to support BIPOC and immigrant communities.
