Trophée Dole 2025 has ended and I’m back home so time to reflect on the tournament! The tournament itself was amazing - so many strong players and with a strict rating floor of 2100, a significant amount of norms were achieved. The organizers did a great job too! After a shaky start where I spoiled winning positions or lost games that I should never have lost, I crashed completely. My level of play decreased significantly and I started missing simple tactics. Chess is brutal and the smallest issues from within can contribute to devastating performances. The goal is to get to a point where those issues don’t affect a player as much, and I want to do everything I can to get there! This tournament with the significant rating loss may be a small bump in the road to WGM, but I’m determined to keep going and not give up. I went through a lot of different emotions during the tournament, but the continuous support from my fans/community keeps me going. I appreciate the support so so much ❤️ Back to the grind 💪🏻
