@jaymichi Tofurkeyfest has a better ring to it. And as an added bonus, the event could be moved to fall, closer to Thanksgiving, when the heat is not blistering and the wasps have gone wherever the hell wasps go.

I know people really like Rib Fest, but I also know people will LOVE KALE FEST. 6 wagons pumping out delicious fall-off-the-stem sautéed kale, with announcers and prizes, a Kombucha garden, and instead of Southern rock, we’ll have bittersweet folk music playing You’re welcome!

For reporters like me NOT covering the election, we can't get info from govt. agencies for our stories until after Oct. 19! "During the election period, all govt communication activities are limited to public health and safety, statutory items and responses to the public only."
