Not a game we deserved to win at all but another game where we weren’t battered. It’s so close but just not good enough. Better than it has been but ultimately just short of this standard in this league. Mansfield away Saturdays is another test but if we don’t use the break after that to give a new manager a chance then it is absolutely unequivocally League 2 next year

@cobblerscoombsy All teams around us have games in hand so this may play into our favour. Put it back in our own hands

On a serious note though, if we get a new manager in the next week, they’ll have a good chance to implement something into the players. This could genuinely be a crucial turning point - the club need to take advantage of this

Inevitable. KT always prefers to give a manager one game too many than one too few but there was no coming back from yesterday. 8 points from 48 is unsurvivable for any manager. Performances had become so bad. Shame as he's a good bloke who was desperate to do well #ntfc

@JWhiteNTFC It's not true for any stage of the season. Just completely made up stats. There are enough bad stats to look at without making any up!

Seen this doing the rounds. These stats are not only wrong, they are miles out. For eg, Cobblers average 44% possession this season (more than top of the table Lincoln), they average 9 shots a game, have a 22% crossing accuracy (4th best in L1) etc
