So much disinformation on this site tonight in the wake of the horrific Kirk murder, with conservatives cynically suggesting that all of the political violence in this country comes from the left.
In fact it’s the opposite. Here are the facts for those with short memories:
The man who targeted and killed Democratic state Rep Melissa Hortman was a Trump supporter.
The man who targeted the home of Dem Governor Josh Shapiro was a Trump supporter.
The men who wanted to hang Mike Pence on Jan 6th were Trump supporters.
The man who targeted and killed the son of Obama-appointed District Judge Esther Salas was a Trump supporter.
The man who tried to kidnap Nancy Pelosi and assaulted her husband was a Trump supporter.
The men who were convicted trying to kidnap Dem Governor Gretchen Whitmer were Trump supporters.
The man who sent pipe bombs to the homes of Obama and Biden was a Trump supporter.
There is no equivalent or even similar list of Obama or Biden supporters who have carried out similar murders, attempted murders, or violent attacks.

@clivepafc It's been on a downward spiral for decades. Needs complete reform and out of the box thinking putting the supporters wants and needs as a priority. The dominance of the Old Firm has killed the competition.

There is a conversation to be had about Scottish Football.
It’s not been a good week.

@mixedknuts Muck Boots are what I'd recommend. Much more comfortable than a Hunter welly and cheaper as well.

@YankeeGunner @clivepafc Be honest. How many Merino shirts has Paul bought for this day?
English

kudos to @clivepafc for suggesting we delay today's pod slightly

@elonmusk Inflation is being caused by greedy energy companies.

@LauraKirk12 We brought in Calafiori and Martin couldn't take the competition. Bottled it
English

@LatteFirm Surplus to requirements and all that's gonna happen this season is we will tank his value. Should get him a loan now so he can build back something and then sell him next summer.
English

@ryanthehate @AFCBtacticos Feels like a waste to have a good academy player be 3rd choice and not progressing in his career. Most Arsenal fans just want to see these homegrown lads flourish.

So many of Gen Z have such horrific understanding of the game… disillusioned by fifa simulations and bite size content. We’d be lucky to get Nketiah, one of the best and most compatible strikers on the market within our scope #AFCB

@adamvoge I'm wondering if the integration of Nwaneri might mean we don't invest in a forward this summer. Trossard, Martinelli, Jesus, Saka, Vieira and Nwaneri can all cover those two wide roles.

@HLTCO Election years make people even more tribal unfortunately. The biggest accounts on this platform are fuelled by outrage so folk like Elon Musk have just become propaganda machines.

I think we’ve all grown used to Twitter being a pretty grim platform to scroll through over the years but the last couple of months have been at another level altogether. It feels like every time you open the app, it’s people screaming at each other from increasingly polarised points of view.
The content popping up on my feed is so often fuelled by anger and hatred, the replies are even worse and it feels as though it’s likely to continue in that fashion for the foreseeable future. I don’t think there’s an answer for it; this just seems to be the new normal.
English

@deanjohnsonuk At a time when there is so much bad shit in the news, this tragedy really hurts me. I'm so shocked and upset by it, it feels so unfair and so horrific.
English

@adamvoge We ideally need a new forward who adds to our offensive "threat". Someone who is comfortable playing wide. It's a shame Isak isn't available. If we got a new Left Forward it would allow us to play the likes of Martinelli, Gabi or Trossard on the right to rest Saka.
English

Here’s the thing: I think most would agree having another very good winger would be great.
But “Saka backup” is not an attractive role to an actual good player. Saka’s starting 45+ games, embrace it. Any backup needs to be able to play elsewhere or they’re just a scrub.
Danny@EditsByDanny
A Saka back up is more important than a striker imo. Who else feels the same?
English

@elonmusk There's nothing in the last two seconds that changes the clip you absolute madman. 😂

@_PhilCosta Injuries really messed with his career momentum. Even in his few minutes last season he looked good. Hopefully he can find a home again at another club.
