@DeezyEight Take an essay, for example. I get if you want to use AI prompts as a way of research, but if you just straight-up didn’t write the paper yourself, did you really learn anything at all or did you just half-ass your way out of it?

@DeezyEight Stanislavsky once said “generality is the death of all art”. I believe that AI can be very useful in certain areas, not art. Especially when it’s blatantly and lazily used in one of the most human things possible, it just feels off, and you can almost always tell when it’s used.

Real question. I want to start this discourse. Do we hate A.I. or do we hate the application of it that people use? Typing a prompt for a song then releasing the song is crazy and lazy. I can agree with that. Using A.I. to expand on a creative idea you had, that feels more gray. If A.I. expands that idea is it no longer creative? is it no longer art? I’ve been pondering this for a while now which is why I reframe from using it or talking about it. I think the music industry is heading into an interesting era where many of us who take that stance will get left behind. I’m curious to hear people’s thoughts on this. (Please no blind hate, give me legitimate thought out responses.)
