Will this be the week? The vultures seem to be gathering to pick at the carcass of Keir Starmers Prime Ministerial era. But the question is who will succeed him. Will Labour lurch leftwards with Rayner, be centrist under Streeting or seek to rapidly shoehorn Burnham into the top job. The various teams are sizing each other up and making alliances. The elections on Thursday are suggested as being the final nail in the coffin. But Starmer is harder to eradicate than a wily old Vampire and it’s not yet definite that anyone in his party is confident their silver bullet will work…
