Pastor Hal’s message today centered on meeting Jesus. His point was we are living in a broken world. Things are not good right now. But changing laws and changing rules will not make things better. Things will only improve when our hearts change. And believing in Jesus and following Him will change our hearts.

God’s love doesn’t run out. It doesn’t fade. It doesn’t give up on you. His love abounds! "So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." — Ephesians 3:18 NIV

I have been informed by NBC that I won’t be back with FNIA this fall and it has given me time to reflect and also to look ahead.    It’s disappointing  news but I want to thank my NBC family for making the last 17 years so special.  I’ll have lasting memories of my time there, especially with Rodney Harrison who has become a tremendous friend.   God has always directed me in these moments and while I’m not sure what the next step will be for me—whether it will be in football, in broadcasting, or getting more involved in church and community outreach —I know God has plans for my life and I can’t wait see them unfold. And I am reminded of one of my favorite verses in the Bible-Romans 8:28. “God works all things for His good for those who love the Lord.”
