@thecinelost Even this ending is "wrong" as they are basically humans who swapped day and night. And then you remember every time you as a reader followed him in his raids. That's when the true horor and sadness hit you... He was, to them, this creature that comes for them when they sleep.

I Am Legend’s theatrical ending missed the book's true point. In the alternate ending, Neville realizes he's the 'monster' to the new species, not the hero. The sequel will officially start from this version.
