They love Paul Biya, they love Bola Tinubu but they hate Ibrahim Traore. When your leaders are loved and supported by your colonizers, they have betrayed you.

But what exactly is going on in this country? A kid burning in the fire which caught the house. Mother is just crying asking for help. Negligence or accident? Why leave the kid alone in the house?

Russian losses this March have reached their highest level since the start of the war: our drone strikes alone resulted in 33,988 Russian servicemembers killed or seriously wounded, while artillery and other strikes eliminated another 1,363 Russian occupiers. That means more than 35,000 Russian losses in just one month – and these are clearly verified losses. We have video documentation of every such strike in our system. I thank all our warriors for their precision. I will especially recognize the warriors of the Special Operations Center “A” of Ukraine’s Security Service, the “Magyar's Birds,” the State Border Guard Service special unit “Phoenix,” “Lasar’s Group,” and the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade – these are the most effective units in the use of drones. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, briefed me on the performance of all units at the front. We have clear and verified reports for every direction and every type of strike. We are ready to provide the relevant data to our partners. Essentially, Ukraine’s Defense and Security Forces have denied the occupier the ability to dictate the situation on the front line. Importantly, the results in the destruction of Russia’s air defense systems have also significantly increased, with 274 such systems hit in March alone. There have also been tangible results in the destruction of Russian depots and military logistics. The Ministry of Defense, together with the Armed Forces, will present a detailed report to the public for March – data that may be made public. I also approved with the Minister today a number of tasks for the coming weeks. In particular, we are preparing decisions to strengthen the Ukrainian infantry, the army contract system, and measures to address AWOL cases – measures that must genuinely work in practice. We are also preparing decisions to scale up the export opportunities of our weapons manufacturers and joint productions with partners. I thank our Defense Forces for the results! Glory to Ukraine!

@DOmowale Name one successful African democracy that isn't run by whites. Maybe he is right, maybe democracy works best in places with a 90% literacy rate, not places where voters can be bribed with salt and sugar.

Ibrahim Traoré's original objective was to secure Burkina Faso and oversee a return to civilian rule. The goal should not be to fight or dismantle democracy in Burkina Faso, but to establish a truly democratic system that represents the masses of Burkina Faso. I hope that Traoré is not losing sight of the original objective. Much of the support that Traoré enjoys is because Africans around the world are excited to see a leader with an anti-imperialist, Pan-African vision who is developing locally controlled industries. But as I pointed out last month, there are some contradictions within the AES that need to be resolved in order for that effort to be truly successful.

@Winnie_Byanyima @stanbicug Not to mention those agent banking women always making endless deposits to the one functional machine while regular clients wait in line. Get them their own cash deposit machine u might as well move this branch to gayaza. As other banks have done in the same location.

@FaraiMazhindu Its only been 4 years, a leader can serve for long and still build their country like Lee quan yu of Singapore. Just that the long serving leaders we have are after enriching themselves and never accept defeat when the time for change has come.

The cognitive disorder where a soldier is delusional enough to think he is the only soul in Burkina Faso capable of stewarding sovereignty is exactly what is holding Africa back. If Ibrahim Traoré were a genuine leader willing to undertake the necessary reformation of Burkina Faso, he would have done so by now. He took power in 2022; how much more time does he need? He will die in power if no one stops his regime. This is the old, tired story of African dictators and military juntas. He should have architected systems that would outlive him, creating the electoral, economic, and governance institutions for his generation and the next to follow. The U.S. government follows a 250 year old roadmap established by its founders. Had George Washington refused to step down, or had Abraham Lincoln decided that only he could save the Union and abolished elections and political parties, there would be no American superpower today. Their greatness lay in their submission to a system larger than themselves. A dictator always dies and leaves behind a mess. A good leader, however, leaves behind systems that carry a nation forward in his absence. We cannot deny the impact of the IQ metric on the quality of governance and national systems. The African story is a repetitive cycle of men with weak cognitive capabilities making weak decisions. reuters.com/world/africa/f…

Africa has its own EPSTEIN CLASS. It is the leaders from parties that have been in power since independence like in ZANU, CCM, ANC and leaders who took over after major wars/coups like those in NRM, and rwanda's RPF. They protect each other through the AU,SADAC and other groups.

We are witnessing the NRM/A’s last line of defense – Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi. I recently visited incarcerated legislator, Muwanga Kivumbi at Kitalya Prison. As you can imagine, we had an un-moderated mini political talk-show. He was in good spirits – gave me this brilliant analysis. As member of the Uganda Young Democrats in the 1990s, he noted (I’m paraphrasing): “In 1995, when we went to campaign, the PEASANTS would chase us from their villages, singing the goodness of NRA/Yoweri Museveni. "In the 2000-2016 interval, the peasants were thoroughly disappointed. We started battling with CADRES and the NRM elite (David Mafabi, Mwenda, Man of Ideology, Tony Owana). "2016- onwards, it is the Deep State (SFC, JATT, CMI). They have to directly defend the NRM/A. While they are so lethal, and violent, they are the last line of defence, and there is nothing after them.
