Frustrated KuGompo Residents March Through the Streets in Eastern Cape Demanding Mass Deportation of Illegal Foreigners Angry residents in KuGompo City marched through the streets on Wednesday demanding the deportation of undocumented migrants. The protest turned violent as police fired stun grenades to disperse the crowd. Residents expressed frustration over illegal foreigners in their area, saying that some are engaging in illegal activities. One protester told eNCA the march was intended to be peaceful. Tensions escalated when the group approached an area known as California, which they allege is linked to criminal activity. Police arrested a man accused of attacking an officer. The man maintained his innocence while being taken into a police nyala. Some protesters criticised the arrest. They claimed he had done nothing wrong and was merely reacting after allegedly being pushed by one of the officers. He got scared and started apologising. They take card number and cv number and expiring date.
