My latest paper based on research in an Australian international school in the Middle East . Discusses influence of perceptions of 'relevance' of content on curriculum decisions, with a particular focus on 'Australian' content and students' cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

1/2 The US nearly obliterated Cambodia in an illegal bombing campaign in the 1960s and 1970s, killing an estimated 600,000 people and paving the way for Khmer Rouge to come to power and inflict even more genocidal violence. This is morally obscene. It defies history and decency.

Tonight ICE deported 40 more Cambodian Americans who came here as refugee children. This is the 5th consecutive ICE raid on this community. Once every 4 months, more families are torn apart. My heart is with all the people who said goodbye to their families tonight.

Transformation through Inclusion- A 'rational' response - draw from the whole corpus of knowledges to a point of commensurability. Don't continue Western traditional of drawing piecemeal from vast bodies of knowledge and ignoring that which doesn't fit.
