MJF and Darby Allin’s rivalry throughout not just AEW history but their own pro wrestling history in general has been incredibly well done and I can’t help but feel like double or nothing will be a perfect climax of this story.
The awesome MJF World Title reign, the shock win in Seattle in one of the most well structured Dynamite episodes ever, the unreal volume of Darby Allin’s World Title reign, MJF currently being the best version of him we’ve ever seen, the interconnecting Kevin Knight/MJF storyline in between everything, the awesome promo between Darby and MJF after Darby vs Takeshita, even to this great match between Speedball and Darby with MJF on commentary.
I just love the way everything has been flowing between these two. Darby winning the title the way he did was extremely polarizing in this community understandably so, but what’s resulted from that decision to me as a fan is one of my favorite feuds and storylines of the year

Might be strange to say, but I actually think winning it by a one goal margin, hanging on in added time like #THFC did is actually a better moment. 🤷♂️ Villa fans and players knew they had won for half an hour before the final whistle, which showed at FT, whilst Spurs players all collapsed to the ground and tears flooding. That moment when Casemiro’s overhead kick went wide will live with me forever and I personally think is a better single moment than winning 3-0…
