@ChristinaPushaw @bryanrbeal FL Turnpike with tolls and gas is at least $60. I will argue that the ORL to MIA route makes a lot of sense, but MIA to ORL doesn’t because you are dropped into a transit desert.

This was one of the most logical high-speed rails in the country, and it STILL can’t make money. Nobody wants to ride on trains.

@ChristinaPushaw @bryanrbeal Outside of season it is useful for perhaps 5% of Floridians that live near the rail corridor. Beyond that, Brightline is just an inconvenience for the rest of us.

The brightline is awesome and pleasant to ride, but at the end of the day, it’s $100 or so to get to a destination where you could drive in the same amount of time and spend less (although who knows, the way gas prices are trending that might not be the case in the near future). Also, when you reach the destination, be it Miami PB or Orlando, you probably want to have a car.

Spirit employees are very upset at the way their employer went out of business and are preparing to rage at an empty building. I'd say they should learn to code but ngl it just wouldn't be realistic with this group. Maybe Brightline is hiring.

@LaurieFLPatriot When I was a kid we filled 10 milk jugs with water and froze them to keep everything cold in the fridge and for drinking water. We filled the bathtub with water to flush with.

@JackLinFLL I did look into having that done. What are the chances it will happen again? You have reminded me I probably should just in case because not having water was not pleasant.

Anyone that isn't prepared to wade through 4' of water, go 2 months without electricity and can't feed themselves from the magical bounty of food Florida provides should go back to New York or wherever. These people turn a hurricane from fun to a nightmare. #HurricaneStrong
