@LaurieFLPatriot When I was a kid we filled 10 milk jugs with water and froze them to keep everything cold in the fridge and for drinking water. We filled the bathtub with water to flush with.

@JackLinFLL I did look into having that done. What are the chances it will happen again? You have reminded me I probably should just in case because not having water was not pleasant.

Anyone that isn't prepared to wade through 4' of water, go 2 months without electricity and can't feed themselves from the magical bounty of food Florida provides should go back to New York or wherever. These people turn a hurricane from fun to a nightmare. #HurricaneStrong

There is a suburb of Houston where a Democrat won the Mayor’s race for the first time in recorded history. The town has 130,000 people and 11,743 voted in the election. 9% of the population voted and the Democrat won by 263 votes. People need to pay attention to local government.

Here’s the data on the United 767 that hit the truck and light pole on short final. The speed looks about right. Maybe a bit slow. The descent rate at that height, however, is insane. That’s the definition of “unstable approach.”

@GenX_audiophile I've driven from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando and back at least 1,000 times. Probably more. You sound like someone that just got here since I have yet to meet an actual Floridian that wants to ride that worthless train and have no car.

@JackLinFLL Do you actually live in FLA, and have you driven this route 95/Tpk? Can you beat the train, yes. Can you beat the train, work in comfort and be productive, no. Thats my use case, and I hope it stays. Better yet, a high speed route Orlando>Tampa would help I4 in a big way.

Called it! I mean who ever thought this thing was viable in SFL??? AT any rate we atill have Tri-Rail, Amtrak and two freight train tracks to keep the SFL drivers vs trains shenanigans going. I suppose in the end Brightline was the Spirit Airlines of the rails.
