Sporting have won their last 17 home games. We reverted back to type. We leaned on our defensive strengths, played it like the two legged tie it is & had the quality to produce a moment late on to win it. Raya made three smart stops too once again proving he’s clearly the better goalkeeper.
Far from a classic & it’s not one that’ll live long in the memory but it’s a morale boosting win & we’ve put ourselves in a great spot going into the second leg.
