Whitehaven Rugby League are delighted to announce the re-signing of Jack Newbegin on a two year deal.
The half-back who stepped up to the professional game last season from local NCL outfit Millom having also previously represented his country made 17 appearances in Haven colours in 2025 scoring 1 try.
A consistent figure in the halves throughout the campaign he will look to kick on after establishing himself in the side last season. Speaking on the news of Jack’s new contract head coach Anthony Murray spoke saying “I am delighted to announce that Jack has re-signed with the club for the next two seasons! After completing his first 12 months as a professional, Jack has shown huge promise and commitment both on and off the field. We’re excited to continue developing his talent and look forward to seeing him grow as a key part of our squad.”
Jack is the third member of the 2026 squad after the announcement at the club’s end of season presentation evening that Jack Kellett and Mitchell Todd have also committed their futures to the club until the end of 2027.
