We begin our end of season awards with our Comeback Player of the Year - Dominik Smith of Pope John Paul. After rushing for almost 1,500 yards and 16 touchdowns as a sophomore, Smith suffered a knee injury in week 2 of the 2024 season that sidelined him for the rest of the year. As a senior, he came back even better rushing for another 1,500 yards and 21 touchdowns! He also earned 1st team all-district 9-2A. @Dominik_Smith6

Jack Roniger of Pope John Paul II was one of the more impressive linebackers in the area this season. At 6’2” 215lbs, he is physically imposing. But he isn’t just a big linebacker, he moves well and was all over the field for the Jaguars this season. He will be on a lot of preseason lists next season.
