🚨 Your MP could soon have NO say on new EU rules entering British law.
Sir Keir Starmer's Labour government has unveiled a new bill. It includes "Henry VIII powers" allowing EU regulations to be adopted automatically. This means bypassing a full parliamentary vote.
Downing Street refused to guarantee MPs a direct vote on each individual rule. This legislation underpins Starmer's ambition to put Britain "at the heart of Europe."
This isn't taking back control. This is giving it away.

🚨 BREAKING: Kemi Badenoch has suspended the Tory leader on Worcestershire Council after entering a coalition with the Greens to overthrow Reform UK control
It led to a Green councillor becoming leader of the council
Councillor @John_EdwardsUK is being silenced and punished for telling the truth about a four-star hotel being used to house Afghan migrants by Bracknell Forest Council.
He began asking questions about the impact of the scheme on local residents. John felt it was important to highlight that, under the Afghan resettlement scheme, migrants were being housed in a four-star hotel, provided with in-house healthcare, and given move-in support to help them secure private rental properties, with deposits and upfront rent paid — all while thousands of Bracknell residents, including veterans and their families, have been waiting years for housing.
All of this information was already in the public domain, but the council did not like John speaking out.
Rather than answer his questions, complaints were made against him by a Lib Dem councillor and other council staff who chose to remain anonymous.
They launched an investigation into John that lasted nearly a year and cost taxpayers £15,000. Evidence was withheld from him, his accusers were granted anonymity, and fellow councillors accused him of racism, claimed he had been reported to the police, and one even compared him to the murderer of the late MP Jo Cox.
An independent investigator cleared John of all charges — but the council was not willing to stop there. It has now introduced a new, narrow charge, claiming John brought his role into “disrepute” simply for telling the truth.
John is now facing a hearing before the same councillors who branded him racist and xenophobic and previously tried to silence him.
The FSU is proud to have supported John throughout. He now needs your help to fund his defence, because if the council succeeds, it will create a blueprint for other councils to silence elected representatives and set a precedent whereby unelected civil servants can decide which policies may be scrutinised and what information the public is allowed to hear.
The council is using taxpayer money to fund its action against him — in effect, to silence a political opponent.
If you can, please donate to John’s crowdfunder below and watch him on the FSU Podcast 👇
Worcestershire’s new administration is a PERFECT snapshot of establishment politics.
The Greens on 8 seats end up in charge following their COUP.
Reform on 24 get frozen out.
Tory voters should be absolutely furious that Conservatives helped facilitate this nonsense
Worcestershire voted for Reform to run the council.
Like it or not, that was the MANDATE.
As a Conservative, I cannot imagine jumping into bed with the Greens just to block them
This is exactly why people are done with the Tory Party
I am disgusted with their conduct
I'm looking forward to standing shoulder to shoulder with British patriots who want their country back and this loathsome Government gone. See you at the Unite the Kingdom rally orchestrated by the ultimate British patriot @TRobinsonNewErayoutu.be/_pap5bMxUZw
The Free Speech Union is concerned about the inclusion of a new Removal of Peerages Bill in the House of Lords.
We know that the nebulous standard of “bringing into disrepute” is often weaponised by militant cancel-culture activists seeking to silence anyone who does not share their worldview.
If this Bill passes, the committee handling complaints could quickly become inundated with vexatious claims from political campaigners determined to punish opponents and strip them of their proudest achievements. It would be Christmas come early for Hope Not Hate.
A speech warning about the dangers of mass migration, or even a social media post, could see peers dragged before the authorities and potentially forced out of the House of Lords.
The Forfeiture Committee already has the power to remove honours from individuals — not because they have broken the law, but because they have said something entirely lawful. These decisions are often made in secret, following year-long processes overseen by a shadowy Whitehall committee.
Peers — especially those unwilling to conform to the progressive orthodoxies of the day — may increasingly think twice before speaking out against government policy.
We will be keeping a close eye on this Bill. Its unintended consequences could be profound — and deeply damaging to the health of our democracy.
